Summary
A young boy, Bud, orphaned at the age of six during the Depression, spends the next few years living in an orphanage and foster homes until he decides to find his father with clues given to him by his mother. Using his intelligence and upbringing Bud is able to triumph over the obstacles life puts in his way.
