Summary
At 52, well-known artisan Rae Newborn, is a survivor of three suicide attempts, several hospitalizations, and the tragic loss of her second husband and young daughter. In order to come to terms with her life, Rae moves to an uninhabited island to rebuild her great-uncle's house. She hopes that in rebuilding his house she may also rebuild her life.
Critique
Excellent description of psychological illness. Good characterizations. Interesting story line. Highly recommend.
