Summary
An ex-rock star turned archaeologist tries to save a Roman historical site before it is destroyed by developers and in the process tries to heal his own broken heart through the love and friendship of Bobby, a mysterious woman he meets at the site.
Critique
The site is supposedly where the legendary Roman German Queen is buried and her story is told by vivid flashbacks throughout the book. Interesting information about the early Saxon tribes in England. A warm and tender story as the main characters struggle to let go of their pasts and to learn to love and trust again. Recommend.
