Summary
Skip Cuddy has a history of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Fresh out of jail and hoping to start over, he secures a job landscaping the estate of Lydia Blessing, an extremely wealthy, cantankerous, 80-year-old matriarch. When Skip discovers an infant girl abandoned by the door of the garage he lives in, their lives are changed in the most wonderful and bittersweet ways.
Critique
Excellent look at how difficult it is to break free of the roles set by society. The trials of a new father are portrayed with realism, humor, and compassion. The reader wants everything to work out perfectly for Skip, baby Faith, and Lydia. Touching and endearing novel of lives transformed by love. Highly recommend.
