When a severed head of an Irish girl who lived several hundred years ago turns up in the McGann family bog, archeologist Cormac Maguire and American anatomist Nora Gavin attempt to find out who she was. Along the way, they discover that there's plenty of foul play still at work in the same local country town of Drumcleggan.
Suspenseful, fast-paced and engrossing.
Hard to put down.
Great, well-developed characters and plenty of twists in turns in this well-written first novel.
