Summary
Trixie and Evangeline (semiretired stage actresses) help a friend after her beloved dog dies only to find themselves involved in a murder and a very mixed-up theater family.
Critique
The murder is secondary to the multiple story lines. We really want to know what is going to happen to Cho Cho San, the cat, who Trixie rescued from a fire and if the play is going to be a success. A light, easy read. Comparable to Braun, Churchill, and Beaton's Agatha Raisin books.
