Summary
34-year-old Olivia Hunt is a struggling film producer whose heart has been hardened by Hollywood. When Olivia's younger, happily married sister Madeline is diagnosed with leukemia, Olivia begins to soften as she discovers what matters most in her world.
Critique
A bittersweet and unforgettable first novel. Olivia's story is told through one-sided letters from her to her family, friends, and Hollywood big shots. Plenty of name-dropping and quick-witted writing keep the tone upbeat despite the heavy subject matter. Truly a book about friendships and family relationships. Highly recommend!
