Summary
When retired civil servant Carole Seddon becomes a trustee of Bracketts House, she and her free spirit neighbor join forces to uncover secrets at this historic home of a locally revered author.
Critique
A cozy, traditional mystery which entertains with its send-up of village politics and board meetings. The author also writes the more irreverent Charles Paris mysteries and the `Miss Marple`-type Mrs. Pargeter series.
