Summary
Cliff Janeway buys a rare Richard Burton book at auction. An elderly woman alleges that the dedication in the book was written to her grandfather. She shows up on Cliff's door claiming there were more Burton books that were stolen from her family. Who took them, where are they now, and is any of this true?
Critique
This is a smart mystery story that brings back a favorite detective. There is much to learn about Richard Burton and his adventures included in a long section of the novel. If you enjoyed any of the previous Cliff Janeway novels you will enjoy this one, too. Recommending reading.
