Summary
Born in 1748 in London, Mary Saunders longs to live a glamorous and colorful life and to shrug off her working class duties and responsibilities to her family, but when Mary trades her virginity for a shiny red ribbon, she enters a filthy world of prostitution and murder that she may never be given the chance to escape.
Critique
Though Mary is not a sympathetic character, her story is an engrossing one. Suspenseful and entertaining, with some explicit sex scenes. Not for the squeamish. Recommend.
