Summary
Short story writer Nora Howard and photographer Isaac Mitchell rekindle their love affair after five years separation, but can these two artists really share each others' lives without sacrificing their crafts?
Critique
Great characters, realistic dialogue, and beautiful descriptions of New York City-life help to make this novel compulsively readable. The subplot, with Nora's role as a caregiver to her dying Aunt Billie, is heartbreakingly sweet. Morton's writing is funny, sad, and all too human. Highly recommend.
