Summary
Best friends Martha and Lucy have had it with the men of New York. Why can't they be more like Lucy's friend from college? Cooper's a smart, sensitive and strong farmer from West Virginia who knows how to treat a woman. After one evening of talking and tequila, the women come up with the idea of `Man Camp` where hopeless males can be sent to become real men and Cooper's farm is just the place to do it. It turns out that there is a lot to learned by both campers and counselors at this camp!
Critique
Although the premise may seem a bit silly, there is some real insight into relationships between men and women in Brodeur's writing. Both Lucy and Martha are enjoyable characters - women you'd love to have as friends. This is a lighthearted, interesting and very fun read.
