Summary
When Kate Cadogan reaches her mid-forties, she wonders why she is so unhappy. She takes a good look at her life and realizes that almost all of her life's decisions were made with the hope of pleasing her unloving and abusive mother or her own very unusual husband. Once Kate decides to reclaim her life, there is no stopping her!
Critique
This debut novel is a coming-of-age story. It is often very funny and sometimes profoundly sad. Recommend.
