Summary
While trying to discover who really murdered an influential dwarf in a tunnel under the city, Commander Sam Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch must prevent all-out war between dwarves and trolls who are intent on a rematch of the historical Koom Valley battle.
Critique
An amazingly imaginative and wildly satirical novel that makes you laugh and think at the same time. Part of a long series, but it can be read on its own. Pratchett is a brilliant and funny writer.
