Summary
After his African-American wife dies accidentally, Eli Cooper, a white 27-year-old artist living in present-day New York, wakes up to find himself stranded in 1930s Mississippi where he is surprised to meet a woman who looks exactly like his wife and is attracted to him but doesn't recognize Eli as her husband. Enter Jerome Kinnae, a `time walker` who holds the key to reuniting Eli and Ella in the present, where their love for one another isn't grounds for lynching.
Critique
An interesting, original and fast-paced story. A mix of a bit of romance, science-fiction, and historical fiction. This author has a unique writing style.
