Summary
The scientists and doctors at the Philpott Institute are focused on cancer research. When the results of one doctor's work appears to be positive, the lab goes public with the news. However, when one of the other doctors in the lab questions the results, a legal controversy ensues which could destroy the institute and the reputations of the people involved.
Critique
A slow but thoughtful and fascinating read about the intricacies of medical research. This powerful story will stay with the reader long after the last page is read. The characters are fully developed with believable strengths and flaws. Highly recommend.
