Summary
Before Annie Freeman died of cancer, she planned her own funeral. To honor her final request, five strangers, whose only connection was Annie, make a road trip to spread her ashes from California to New York. This is a beautiful, memorable story that will linger in the reader's mind long after the final page has been read. The reader will also laugh out loud and shed a few tears with these characters as they reminisce about Annie and share their own lives with each other.
