Summary
Delta Ballou forms a vocal group with her three best friends at the Mississippi College for Women. After graduation, all four go their separate ways and completely lose touch with each other. Tragedy strikes Delta's family right before the 25-year reunion at their college. Delta soon learns that she is not the only one who suffered loss over the 25 years and the friends attempt to heal together.
Critique
Fans of Penelope Stokes' other Christian fiction novels may be surprised by some of the themes presented in this novel. The four main characters struggle with issues familiar to many - family and relationship troubles, loss, and confusion. Flashbacks and focus on individual characters contribute to this thoughtful read.
