Summary
After being inspired by his minister's sermon, successful businessman Chauncey Greer decides to give his former music career another chance. He had abandoned his band and music years ago after being betrayed by his friend and lover, another member in his band.
Critique
A moving, candid and thought-provoking look at homosexuality, race issues and religion. Chauncey is a well-developed, sympathetic character who struggles to find a balance between his faith and his homosexuality. Basil and Yancey from the author's earlier books appear in this story too. Be aware that some language and graphic descriptions may be offensive to some readers. Highly recommend.
