Summary
In this third installment in the series, Christian Gillette contends with simultaneously opening both a new casino and a professional football franchise in Las Vegas. He considers accepting a vice-presidential spot on the ticket of the first African-American U.S. presidential candidate. He also confronts a small but extremely powerful secret society which is trying to recruit him as a member. Gillette juggles all of this while he is chairman of a major private equity firm and 18 other large corporations, one of which is facing a major SEC investigation.
Critique
While the conglomeration of challenges facing Frey's superhero on steroids is nearly unimaginable, the story lines, dialogue and layers of intrigue are sufficiently feasible to both enthrall and entertain the reader. Highly recommend.
