Summary
Twice-divorced and perpetually unemployed Dawn has lousy taste in men, but has a soft spot for dogs. When she is dumped by her most recent boyfriend, a flaky radio DJ named Paxton, Dawn's loyal dog, Chuck, finally speaks up about the quality of men in her life, literally voicing his opinions of what Dawn needs in a man. When Paxton starts sniffing around for a reconciliation, Chuck lays down the law--either the man goes, or the dog goes.
Critique
What a cute read! A smart, offbeat, hilariously and darkly funny novel about relationships and the joys of dog ownership. Satisfying and hard to put down. Highly recommend.
