Summary
Preacher Zook has ordered Annie to stop waiting for Englisher Ben Martin to return from his home in Kentucky, where a secret is revealed regarding Ben's early years. Ben is drawn back to Paradise, Pennsylvania, and to Annie. After Ben and Annie reconnect, the mystery surrounding little Isaac's disappearance decades earlier is resolved.
Critique
This is the final entry in the `Annie's People` series. Many situations are resolved from the previous books but there are some unanswered questions that leave the reader wondering. Recommend.
