Summary
Matt Rydek is stoked for his senior year of football, despite the never-ending pressure from his father and the entire town. Raiders Rule! is the rallying cry of the team, yet a horrific sexual assault at training camp threatens the team and individual players. Despite his flaws, Matt has the opportunity to do the right thing. The only question is, can he?
Critique
Definitely geared toward older teens and adults, Raiders Night is a graphic, no-holds-barred look at high school athletes. There is strong language and mature scenes, yet the novel rings true. Fans of the book and movie `Friday Night Lights` will flip the pages quickly to learn if Matt has the courage to step up.
