Summary
Lucy Stone is well-known in Tinker's Cove for her newspaper reporting and support of the local community. Much to the dismay of the police department, Lucy is also known for her sleuthing skills. Lucy finds herself smack in the middle of a murder mystery, when she finds the body of Mimi Stanton. Mimi was not popular in Tinker's Cove, but who hated her enough to plunge a knife into her back?
Critique
This is the 13th in Meier's Lucy Stone mystery series, although first-time readers will not be overwhelmed by references to previous mysteries. Lucy is the `everywoman` character - trying to protect her family while reporting the news of Tinker's Cove. Meier ties other plotlines to the murder, which makes for a brisk read. Recommended.
