Summary
A group of shallow rich girls act catty and mean to each other at their elite upper class New York City boarding school. This is the first in a series of popular teen books.
Critique
Paris Hilton wannabes will find this guilty pleasure hard to put down. The characters are horrible to each other. They drink, do drugs, and engage in all sorts of risky behaviors that society associates with spoiled rich kids. Teen girls will eat the series up, but parents should be warned--it's mostly for the older teen reader.
