Summary
College dropout turned horse-trainer and drifter, Jesse Fox rides into Tombstone, Arizona unaware that the town is controlled by Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and the Earp family. Fox plans on just passing through the town of cowboys, cattle thieves and troublemakers. He stays on, however, after he meets feisty widow Mildred Benjamin and when he is reunited with his longtime friend Chow Lung, who warns of a bad magic in the territory--a magic that only the reluctant Fox can battle with his own set of mystical powers.
Critique
An original and unique read that truly has it all. The author blends the Old West with supernatural fantasy fiction, putting a new twist on the battle at the O.K. Corral. Great character development. The love interest between Mildred and Jesse is also sweet. An all around fun yet thoughtful adventure with some bloody shoot-'em-up scenes. Recommend.
