Summary
Adia Adams, a freed slave living in London, travels back in time to seek the help of Jean Macrae, a Scottish Guardian, and Nikolai Gregorio, a pirate who has dedicated his life to freeing slaves, to continue the struggling abolitionist movement in London during the 1780s.
Critique
This is the third novel in the Guardian series. Jean Macrae was a secondary character in Stolen Magic. Two love stories in one. The author blends together well the magic and romance with the historical and political elements. The information about the early abolitionist movement is interesting and thought-provoking. Highly recommend.
