Summary
At a remote monastery in Tibet, Agent Pendergast and Constance Green, his ward, learn that a rare and dangerous artifact the monks have been guarding for generations has been mysteriously stolen. Pendergast agrees to take up the search. The trail leads him and Constance to the maiden voyage of the Britannia--and to an Atlantic crossing fraught with terror.
Critique
Eighth in series featuring Agent Pendergast but can be read as a stand-alone book. Highly recommend for fans of the series and action adventure in general.
