Summary
As a child, Dublin detective Rob Ryan was the only survivor among three children who went off to play in the woods. He was found covered with blood, remembering nothing of what happened. When, twenty years later, a young girl is murdered in his hometown and Rob and his partner Cassie become the investigators, the similarities in the two cases draws him back into his chilling past.

Critique
Beautifully written with complex, richly drawn characters, In the Woods by Tana French is psychological suspense at its best.
