Summary
The sequel to The Monk Downstairs begins with the marriage of former monk Michael Christopher and Rebecca Martin. Mike has much to adjust to in the real world but doesn't lose his meditative self and devotion to his faith. Rebecca learns to step back from her hectic life and enjoy the time left with her dying mother.
Critique
The relationships between Mike and his seven-year-old stepdaughter, Mary Martha, and with his mother-in-law, Phoebe, are heartwarming. Recommend.
