Summary
Jane finds a stash of books in the cottage she's been provided by the Peabridge Free Library, in lieu of a decent salary. During a power outage in her new home, Jane finds her priceless tomes are actually books on witchcraft, plus they come with a familiar and a warder! Can Jane figure out how to embrace her magical abilities for the greater good, or will they end up more trouble than they're worth?
Critique
Likeable characters plus fun facts about crystals and Colonial America are what make this story unexpectedly entertaining. Recommended read.
