Summary
Sarah Halifax originally translated and responded to the first alien radio message to Earth. When the aliens from Sigma Draconis finally write again, Sarah is in her late 80s. Sarah is asked to `rollback` to her 25-year-old self in order to continue these communications and agrees only if her husband can rollback too. When Don's procedure works and Sarah's does not, Don must deal with his newfound youth and the now vast age gap between him and his wife, and Sarah must figure out what the aliens' signal contains before it's too late.
Critique
This is an original science fiction thriller with well-drawn characters that the reader will care about. Though this book focuses on moral and ethical choices in life, marriage, and interplanetary correspondence, it still makes for an exciting read that is hard to put down. Recommend.
