Summary
Kyle Kingsbury is a conceited snob of a high-school boy. Uncaring of others, Kyle insults a girl he finds unattractive and it becomes the best/worst thing he's ever done. Turned into a Beast, Kyle is forced into hiding. He will remain a Beast unless he can find a girl to see past his appearance to the man he is becoming.
Critique
A retelling of Beauty and the Beast fairy tale, this book is cleverly set into modern day New York City. The story is so well written that the mechanics of Kyle's seclusion are perfectly believable and only add to the truth of his personal growth. Highly recommended read.
