Summary
Devastated by her last murder investigation, Cassie Maddox is convinced to join another case when she learns that the victim has used her undercover identity and is her near twin. To assist, she goes undercover, living with the victim's strange group of close friends and disappearing into her new identity a little too easily.

Critique
In this sequel to In The Woods, French creates a more psychologically driven mystery, giving us glimpses into Cassie's frame of mind, while building to a tension-filled ending. Finely written with lots of interesting side characters, this is another great effort from French.
