Summary
This witty novel tells the parallel stories of two young men named Will. First there is Will the grad student who, short on cash, agrees to go to a Renaissance Faire to sell a psychedelic mushroom. The other Will is more famous, he's young William Shakespeare, closet Catholic, who's forced into a shotgun wedding by his future brothers-in-law. In alternate chapters, we learn of their sexual exploits, dysfunctional families and political enemies.

Critique
This is a bawdy, irreverent and fast-paced tale that takes us to Stratford and Berkeley and weaves together fact and fiction. An entertaining, fun read.
