Summary
Katsa was born in a land of seven kingdoms with a unique Grace, or extreme skill. Her different colored eyes indicate it. She is 18 before she finds out that her Grace enables her to kill a man with her bare hands. She is soon acting as King Randa's henchwoman and feared by everyone, until she meets Po, a Graced fighter who is the only one who will challenge her. Together they are part of the Council, which acts to right the wrongs of the oppressed. She meets Po when on a mission to rescue his kidnapped father. Po and Katsa become lovers, united in their dangerous mission.

Critique
Fans of Twilight will appreciate this one for the romance between Katsa and Po. It is delicately and intriguingly written. Katsa is a female heroine that girls will love. The writing sucks you into this dangerous fantasy world and won't release you.
