Summary
Christmas is coming and money is tight in Eddie's house. His widowed mom works a variety of part-time jobs, but it's never enough. Eddie wants one thing for Christmas and doesn't get it. Disappointed Eddie receives `a stupid, handmade, ugly sweater` from his mother. A Christmas dinner with extended family followed by a horrific accident dictate Eddie's new life.
