Summary
Maggie is a new student her senior year at an exclusive all-girls prep school in New York. In order to fit in, she joins a group of eavesdropping popular girls called the Revelers. The Revelers make it their mission to learn the intimate secrets of their peers through eavesdropping in order to allow future generations to learn from the secrets of the past. These secrets are recorded in a written record on the wall of one of the girl's apartments. They believe that their cause is a noble one, and that they are collecting `truth` not gossip. Soon, Maggie must reconcile her morals when she is demanded to part with a secret that could hurt her friend Victoria.

Critique
Lizabeth Zindel is the daughter of notable teen author Paul Zindel. It is clear that insightful teen novels run in the family. This is her second novel for teens, and fans of mean girl teen literature will surely eat it up. Maggie is an intelligent girl with a conscience who must decide between popularity and staying true to herself. The writing is swift and entertaining.
