Summary
Soon after the vice president dies while alligator hunting in Florida, his former intern is murdered in Washington, D.C.
Facing his 40th birthday, Florida attorney Jack Swytec is in D.C. for his father's confirmation hearings as the next vice president. There, he receives a cryptic email offering to make his father president and begins to suspect that someone is trying to kill the president.
