Summary
After her mother's death, Clare Prentice learns that she was adopted. With only a class ring from Grand Rapids High School to go on, Clare returns to the small Minnesota town, only to find out that there is no record Clare or her mother ever existed.

Martha Powers has written some edgy thrillers as well as regency romances. This novel is a combination that is best classified in the romantic suspense genre. An enjoyable story that is highly recommended for those who don't like sex or violence in their reading.
