Summary
Gil is a 47-year-old who acts like he's a twenty-something who can't commit to his girlfriend or a full-time job. Living day to day as houseguest to the rich couple whose Los Angeles houses he renovates, Gil's constant companions are his collection of stray canines, especially his dog Jimmy. When Jimmy starts teaching neighborhood dogs his most effective manipulating routines, Gil finds that he can understand what Jimmy is saying. But can an old dog teach his human new tricks?

A laugh-out-loud read. This book about relationships, dogs, and the male experience contains adult situations, sex, and language. Hilarious and touching. A must for dog lovers. Highly recommend.
