Summary
Frankie Landau-Banks is a sophomore at a prestigious boarding school. After being `invisible` her freshman year, she suddenly finds herself dating the most popular senior. She is now a mostly welcome member of his inner circle of friends. Frankie's new found social status is thrilling, but it's not enough, because her boyfriend is keeping a secret and she knows what it is.
Critique
Frankie infiltrates Alabaster's Old Boy secret society, the Basset Hounds. The pranks she orchestrates and the chaos she creates are hilarious, while her commentary on feminism and societal expectations are thought provoking.
