Summary
When a young couple is murdered in their remote lakeside retreat during an apparent home invasion, the husband manages to make a partial 911 call. The small town sheriff's department thinks the call is just a mistake but sends Deputy Brynn McKenzie to check it out just in case. Brynn ends up in a life and death struggle with the two hitmen as they try to outmaneuver each other in the rugged terrain of Northern Wisconsin.

Critique
Brynn McKenzie is a strong female character you won't soon forget. Plenty of plot twists and surprises. Plan to stay up late; you won't be able to put this one down.
