Summary
Emotionally and physically abused by her father, Courtney ran away and now lives in Arizona with Mrs. Meyers who took her in with no questions asked. Serena learns that nothing can be done for her damaged heart and is driving home from San Francisco to Georgia to die.
When Serena stops by the diner, Courtney immediately feels connected and ends up traveling with her back to Georgia. As Courtney meets Serena's twin brother, Austin, and neighbor Jake, she brings light and love into their lives.
Will Courtney learn to accept the love and understanding that she so freely gives to others?
