Summary
Chicago reporter Sophie Rose uses her middle name as her byline because her father is Bobby Rose, a notorious Robin Hood-type thief. When she is assigned to do a feature on an egotistical man who has won 25 marathons, a bored senseless Sophie tapes the interview and gives the man her business card.
Sophie's marathon man is mysteriously found dead (apparently eaten by a polar bear) in Alaska, and Sophie's business card is found on his body. She wants to travel to Alaska to investigate, and the FBI assigns Jack MacAlister to accompany her as a bodyguard.
Of course, this is romantic suspense and the sparks fly.
