Summary
Kids in the FAYZ (Fallout Alley Youth Zone) are barely surviving as the food runs out and no one wants to work at gathering what's growing on its own. Even worse the mysterious Darkness is gathering a force in hopes of controlling life in the FAYZ. Can Sam defeat the Darkness, or will Caine win this battle in their war?

Critique
With this book being the second in a six book series, you might think not much happens. You'd be wrong. Questions from Gone are answered but more take their place, the characters continue to develop, and the tension is fierce until the end. Highly recommended read.
