Summary
Valeria is a bad-tempered and feisty spinster who is not loved by her neighbors in their small isolated Hungarian village. One day, Valeria finds herself attracted to the local potter, a widower. Unfortunately for Valeria, after a night of passion, she discovers that he is already involved with the local barmaid, Iboyla. Whom will the potter choose?

This tale of second chances at love has an old-fashioned, folktale quality about it, but with some rough language and sex scenes, this book may not be for every reader. Quick reading. With a delightful and dynamic cast, these characters once touched by love, change in front of the reader's eyes.
