Summary
Jacob Rappaport, a first-generation Jewish-American, is a young member of the Union army. He is asked to join the Confederate army as a spy and murder his uncle, who, along with the Secretary of State, is plotting to kill President Lincoln. For his next assignment, Jacob is told to marry Eugenia Levy, one of the four Jewish, Virginia-based sisters, who is working as a spy for the Confederates. A serious problem arises when Jacob finds himself really falling for the beautiful `Jeannie.`
