Summary
Laura Rider is the mastermind behind Prairie Wind Farm, the successful business that she owns with her simpleminded, good-looking, and slightly crazy husband of 12 years, Charlie. Laura is more interested in trying to write a romance novel than having romance, and she tells Charlie their sex life is over. After meeting her longtime hero, Milwaukee public radio host Jenna Faroli, Laura decides on her novel's premise--to see if her own Charlie is Jenna's type of man. She plots to get the two together and that's when Laura's real problems (and successes) begin.

Critique
Though much different than Hamilton's previous novels, this is a funny, sly and appealing romance with the unusual premise of a woman helping her husband date another woman. With all the smarts of Hamilton's more serious novels, this slim novel makes for irresistible and quick reading. Highly recommend.
