Summary
When a fellow cop and current girlfriend of the Chief Medical Examiner is murdered, Eve and Peabody must determine if the killer was another cop or someone from the outside. Unfortunately, as Eve digs further into her investigation, she uncovers several links to her own past that she must deal with along with finding the murderer before he/she will strike again.

Critique
J. D. Robb is the pseudonym for Nora Roberts. After 33 other In Death mysteries featuring Eve Dallas in either a full-length novel or as a short story in a collection, this series is just as exciting and interesting as the very first. In fact, this latest is one of the best as the author lets the reader learn more about Eve. Fast-paced with lots of twists and turns in the plot. Look forward to the next in the series. Highly recommend.
